The England star, who made a blistering start to the current campaign, has been struggling of lately with a hamstring injury which has kept him out of the side for the loss against Manchester City and the draw with Hull.
His return is a big boost for Spurs.
Andros Townsend made his debut In October for England Vs Montenegro at the age of 22 and he is the first player to be capped in an international qualifying game in 14 years. He is also the first Greek Cypriot origin player to be capped for England, his maternal grandparents are from Limassol Cyprus.
It wasn't a classic performance by any means, but Tim Sherwood's men got the three points to take them above Everton into fifth place in the Premier League on Sunday thanks to Emmanuel Adebayor's great second half strike.

Andros Townsend came on in the second half to the delight of the White Hart Lane faithful. Andros, whose maternal grandparents are from Limassol, failed to get into the game much after coming on, unsurprisingly looking short of match fitness but made a couple of runs that didn't really go anywhere, but Tim Sherwood will be glad to have such a direct player back for selection. Andros exploded on the international scene last season and is hopeful to make England`s World Cup squad in June.

Nicos Shakalliswas voted by most of the people we interviewed as the best playerwho ever played for KOPA.It was a pleasure meeting with him after so many years. The legendary player livesin Kent but came to see me at the SALAMINA Club in Palmers Green. He looks exactlyas he did 20 years ago, very-very fit. The reason is that he still plays as No 10 for ateam called TAMPA based in Kent. They reached the cup final this season. He is stillable to play a full 90 minutes and he is “only”…57 years old!
What a feast of Youth football we had in Cyprus!
Youth players all Cypriot origin from the age of fifteen and nineteen went in Cyprus last October the 28th staying and training in Limassol and arrived back inthe UK Monday night November the 5th . It was an initiative started by the Cypriot Sports Association (KOA) and the Cypriot Football League in the UK (KOPA). The purpose of this project is to find players in Great Britain to represent the Cyprus National sides at different age groups. Judging by the response from clubs and National team representatives they were pleased with the quality and character of the KOPA players.
It all began last season with players sourced through English Youth Leagues, Cypriot Youth Clubs and of Course the KOPA League. A sub committee was formed consisting of Tony Antoniou, Nick Demetriades, Kokos Georgiou, Kypros Kyprianou, Mario Michael, Michalakis Michael, Andy Savva and Michael Yiakoumi.
Their first job was to appoint a management team and it was decided that Tom Loizou a former Leyton Orient manager and UEFA A coach would be manager, the coaches selected were David Cumberbatch UEFA B Licensed coach and ex West Ham School of Excellence Coach.
Former Spurs stars including Teddy Sheringham and Darren Anderton will take part in a special fixture at Haringey Borough White Hart Lane on Sunday February 23rd.
Spurs legends take on a Keir Thompson X1 to help raise money and awareness for a local lad who is suffering from a debilitating illness.
Keir is ten and a half and was diagnosed with Duchenne`s Muscular Dystrophy more than a year ago.

Duchenne`s is a muscle wasting condition which affects every muscle in the body eventually leaving him wheelchair bound, although this is normally the case by the age of 6 years. Keir is still able to walk and the hospital referred to him as “a little miracle“ especially as this is not the norm for this disease. The family are currently fund raising for stem cell treatment available overseas in Canada at a cost of £30,000; currently £17,500 has been raised towards that total. Mum Elaine Thompson said “we have done remarkably well in the 18 months since diagnosis.” Keir who is an avid Spurs fan will no doubt be chuffed to see so many legends in action.

Σύμφωνα με ανακοίνωση της ποδοσφαιρικής ομάδας της Ανόρθωσης, ο πρόεδρος του σωματείου Χρίστος Πουλλαίδης θα βρίσκεται την ερχόμενη εβδομάδα στο Λονδίνο. Κατά τη διάρκεια της παραμονής του στη βρετανική πρωτεύουσα ο πρόεδρος της προσφυγικής ομάδας θα έχει επαφές με το Δ.Σ της Ανόρθωσης Λονδίνου καθώς και με άλλους παράγοντες της παροικίας, κυρίως από την κατεχόμενη πόλη της Αμμοχώστου. Την Πέμπτη 3 Απριλίου στις 7.00 το βράδυ ο κ. Πουλλαίδης θα μιλήσει προς φίλους της Ανόρθωσης αλλά και Αμμοχωστιανούς που βρίσκονται στο Λονδίνο και θα τους ενημερώσει για τις τελευταίες εξελίξεις γύρω από την πορεία της ομάδας και την ιστορική απόφαση για δημιουργία εταιρείας, όπου και αναμένεται να τους καλέσει να συμμετέχουν με αγορά μετοχών.
Η εκδήλωση θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο οίκημα της Αδελφότητας στο Brittania Road, στο North Finchley Ν12 και καλούνται οι φίλοι της Ανόρθωσης και της Αμμοχώστου όπως παρευρεθούν και στηρίξουν το προσφυγικό σωματείο, αυτές τις δύσκολες στιγμές που διέρχεται.

RONNIE TAKKOU - the talented player and coach
One of the talented players and coaches that highlighted the Cypriot Community Football during 70’s and 80’s in KOPA League.
Ronnie played for Crayford FC, Maronites FC (Neos Livanos), Omonia, KLN, Olympiakos, Alki, Akritas, AEK, Anorthosis and Ethnikos. Also, he manage the teams of Omonia U18 (won the league unbeaten same year as the senior team done the same) and Aradippou (won 2nd division championship).
As FOOTBALL MAGAZINE we want to thank Ronnie for his valuable offer to the Cypriot Community Football and wish him luck to his career (Ronnie now manage a big Company in China).

Omonia's Dinner & Dance 2014/2015.
Omonia had a very successful dinner and dance on Saturday at the Cypriot Community Centre in Wood Green with a full house and it was also good to see loads of young people in attendance. They had former Cyprus International Gregory Savva who played for Omonia (London and Cyprus) and Olympiakos in Greece as a special guest.
Parikiaki Newspaper journalist George Michaelides introduced the Chairman Andreas Sifounas who welcomed the guests and praised the players and management team of Dino Ippocratous and Tony Ponnou.
Other clubs and guests present were Anorthosis, Aradippou and Omonia Youth. Special guests were the Consul General George Georgiou Managing director of Parikiaki Newspaper Bambos Charalambous and the General Secretary of the KOPA Football League Michael Yiakoumi.
Presentation of awards for services to Omonia were made to Andreas Kyprianou (Father of Ex Omonia London star Kypros Kyprianou) who had his award presented by Gregory Savva. Also to Bambos Kanaris who received his award from the Consul General George Georgiou. The evening continued with music from Elias Maronitis and Mimis then a rich raffle with the main prize Jewellery donated by Cos of London.
The event was sponsored by Capital Accommodation and Lefteris Bakery.

Knowing the bene-volent dedication and lasting contribution of Elias to his team Omonia London, we are wondering what lies behind his resignation. Who pushed him for this decision?

Στη συνέχεια ακολούθησε στην αίθουσα καλαθόσφαιρας το πατροπα-ράδοτο φαγοπότι με πλούσια εδέσματα που πρόσφεραν οι χορηγοί της ομάδας CMB Partners και ο ιδιοκτήτης της Ντέμης Μαλαχίας.
Σε σύντομη ομιλία του ο πρόεδρος της ομάδας Ρόμπερτ Αριστοτέλους ευχαρίστησε τους παίκτες, το προπονητικό τημ και το Δ.Σ. για την προσφορά τους και ευχήθηκε καλύτερες μέρες στην ομάδα.
Στη συνέχεια τίμησε παίκτες και προπονητές καθώς και επίτιμα μέλη που δουλεύουν αθόρυβα από την πρώτη μέρα που δημιουργήθηκε η ομάδα.
Στο τέλος της εκδήλωσης έγινε κλήρωση λαχνών με πλούσια δώρα.

Η συνεχόμενη βροχή το πρωϊνό της Κυριακής, 28 Ιουνίου, δεν εμπόδισε την ετήσια "φιέστα" της ΠΑΝΤΕΛ να έχει μια πετυχεμένη, όπως πάντα, κατάληξη. Εκατόν περίπου άτομα άρχισαν να μαζεύονται από τις 11.30 στο γήπεδο Lucozade Powerleague Finchley στο Porters Way, για να συμμετέχουν σ' αυτή την σημαντική εκδήλωση τηςPANTEL FC, η οποία είναι αφιερωμένη στον αείμνηστο Παντελάκη (Πολ) Μάϊκλ.
Είκοσι περίπου ποδοσφαιριστές της τρέχουσας ομάδας και γύρω στους εικοσιπέντε βετεράνους που αγωνίστηκαν στα 13 χρόνια από την ίδρυση της ΠΑΝΤΕΛ, μαζί με 50 και πλέον φίλους της ομάδας βρέθηκαν ξανά, πριν τις καλοκαιρινές τους διακοπές για να απολαύσουν μια αξέχαστη μέρα.
Στο αγωνιστικό κομμάτι, σε ένα πραγματικά εξαιρετικό παιγνίδι και από τις δύο ομάδες, οι Παλαίμαχοι έδειξαν ότι ακόμα ... στέκουν και είναι ετοιμοπόλεμοι, σε ώρα ανάγκης, αφού νίκησαν με 1-0. Το τέρμα σημείωσε στο 65΄ ο Ίαν, μετά από ανατροπή του.
